Residential interior design and decorating projects
DESIGN OBJECTIVE
To turn a dark and black dominated interior, into a light and bright space, with a glamorous and sophisicated coastal vibe.

SOLUTION
As with all projects, I started with a mood board, showcasing a new colour palette of white, pale timbers and gold accents. The new interior was achieved by replacing the original black curtains with light sheers. We started with the addition of a white grand piano as focal point in the home’s entrance, accompanied by new art. The dark timber floors were given a lift with a beautiful new area rug in the living room, and the dining room was transformed with a new timber dining table with gold legs, and upholstered dining chairs.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
To create a unique and memorable interior for an inner-city BnB that would generate repeat bookings and set a new standard for short-term holiday accommodation in Newcastle.
SOLUTION
By combining classic and luxurious pieces, with eclectic and quirky accessories, I created a space that became one of the most in demand BnB’s in The Hunter. Attention to detail was key to the success of this project, creating luxurious and inviting spaces and leaving no stone unturned with regards to anticipating guests’ needs.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
To update a tired and dark interior, where natural light is limited and the budget was tight.
SOLUTION
Working closely with Josh from Painting by Josh, we created a grey specifically for this project for all interior walls. A cool tone was needed to reflect light and add a sense of space. New hybrid flooring was laid in a wide plank which made the interior much brighter without the need for removing walls or adding windows. Finally, the styling touches brought the new interior together for this beautiful family home.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
The owner of this luxury Janet Street residence approached me to lift the interior to its full potential to show it in its best light when it hit the market.
SOLUTION
With multiple living spaces, each room needed to be defined with a purpose and updates were needed to create a cohesive and harmonious interior. We started with colours for feature walls, new carpet, curtains and pendant lighting. After drawing up the floorplan in my 3D software which facilitates spatial planning, I was able to source new furniture to effectively fill the space and give each room a distinctive purpose and feel. I also specified new outdoor furniture which made for show-stopping images for the real estate listing. The property sold very quickly for my happy vendor.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
This home owner asked me to help her in creating a harmonious, unified interior, maximising natural light and allowing for flexibility in the selection of furniture to facilitate multiple uses of the space. It was also important to my client to source furniture with sustainability in mind and that fit into the Vegan ethos.
SOLUTION
I designed bespoke, custom wall hung joinery and additional kitchen shelving to provide more storage, without taking up valuable floor space. We replaced her Venetian blinds with Sheer roller blinds to allow for privacy, whilst still allowing natural light to flow through, with soft Roman Blinds for blockout during the evenings. The sofa was custom made with all synthetic fibres and is the plush, centrepiece of the space. A colourful rug not only brings joy to the space, but also creates a living zone in the open plan space. New lighting throughout was the finishing touch that unified the space.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
My Sydney based clients purchased this house as a luxury holiday rental and possible future home. With a flooded holiday rental market within the Vintage, the brief was to create an interior that stood on its own. My role was to furnish the entire home, including furniture, decor, art and accessories. The theme I created was Playful Luxury.
SOLUTION
I was given free reign in terms of introducing colour and playfulness to the interior, yet I still needed to exercise restraint in order to achieve a cohesive aesthetic.
Months of planning when into achieving the finished result with furniture, art and accessories sourced from my trusted suppliers. I used wallpaper extensively, including a bold mural in the golf simulation room that doubles as a theatre room/party space.
Large scale, bold art selections were also made, including a series of David Bromley prints - chosen for their perfect colour palettes; and an original piece by artist, Martin Breeze.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
My clients took possession of this property in July 2023 and wanted to complete their renovation and be in the home by Christmas of that year. In that time, we gutted the entire interior, revised the floor plan, replaced the kitchen, 3 bathrooms and laundry; replaced all flooring and lighting;
installed custom joinery; and painted throughout.
SOLUTION

Presenting a cohesive and well thought out design concept from the beginning, allowed my clients to move quickly and make decisions with the confidence of knowing they weren’t making any mistakes.
Regular site meetings where I would present my concepts and designs in 3D, and show samples of different finishes all contributed to a smoothly run project. Looking at samples in showrooms is always great, however, seeing them onsite is essential as conditions such as lighting and surrounds can make a huge difference.
The team at Vista Kitchens installed all custom joinery and Reece Plumbing came through with our PC selections. The end result? My client came in on budget and moved in with time to install their Christmas tree.
