The Julie Evans Design interior design process is a structured, six-stage methodology designed to transform Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens residential and commercial spaces through collaboration, spatial psychology, technical precision and creative flair. From the initial consultation to final project management and styling, our process ensures every renovation is personal to you and reflects your preferences, tastes and needs. Whether you are undertaking a kitchen renovation in Merewether or a commercial fit-out in the Newcastle CBD, our workflow is designed for transparency and high-end results.

Discovery and Goal Alignment
After our initial contact, we conduct a discovery call to align your interior design goals with our specialised services. This initial phase helps us determine the scope for your Newcastle residential or commercial project. From here, we always recommend an on-site interior design consultation with you in your space to provide tailored expert advice.

On-site interior design consultation
A face-to-face meeting in your Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie or Port Stephens space allows us to "drill down" into your lifestyle needs, spatial constraints or desires, functional requirements along with colour and style preferences through a unique, structured questionnaire.

Interior design project proposal and quotation
Our interior design project proposal will detail the services we recommend based on the outcome of our on-site design consultation. It will include the range of our services, and itemising the scope for each by action. Our pricing is clear, itemised and transparent.

Visual concepts, mood boards, plans & designs
Depending on which of my services you have chosen, you'll receive detailed 2D plans, 3D visualisations and renders along with mood boards to bring my designs for your interior design goals to life. Once you're comfortable, excited and loving the design these form our our way forward on executing your interior design project.

Design execution & trade/supplier access
We move into the execution phase, where clients can choose between their own trades implementation or to work with my extended trade team. Clients may also use our exclusive trade discounts and supplier network - the savings from which often more than pay for our total professional design fees.

Final styling and project handover
The final stage involves the meticulous styling of your space to ensure the design vision is fully realised, creating a rejuvenated home or workplace that is ready for immediate enjoyment.
